When you were an active WT door knocker... How did you knock?

on the door frame, on the door, door knocker, bell.. loud, very loud, regular, soft... gentle... or just pretended and never knocked at all?

we just had a city worker come a knocking on our front door and my responce after she left was, she should go down to the local kingdom haul and give lessons.

her knock was so loud, she could raise the dead.

The sweetest one I ever saw was of a boy and girl and when put together to make a knock... they kissed.

Ambersun. I liked going into people's yards and gardens and playing with their dog or cat. (That someone was home, was an extra. lol) I am curious about what has happened to your old bold CO. I believe in North America it is now against the Law to go into someone's back garden uninvited, as well, as leaving anything in their mail box. How do JW..Org people think they can garner anyone's respect hunting home owner's down on their own property? Poor lady trying to get a little sun when no one is around.

Ding Ding Ding... Or should I say, Ring, Ring X 7. lol Anders Anderson wins. lol I must say. I think in all fairness, most of us probably would have done the same thing. Wondering how many songs there were and what they were. Years ago I found at the hardware store a bell ringing unit that chimed the English nursery rhyme of "Oranges and Lemons". I really liked it. I think there were several songs to choose from but the silly thing cost $200.00.

James Mixon is second runner up! Isn't it funny in hind sight. After working the night shift, your work mate sees the advantage to get some shut eye as soon as possible. You, on the other hand, are told you must go out and preach, otherwise you will be blood guilty when The Big "A" shows up. Ummm. Isn't it better if no one is preached to, since, in WT's eyes, worldly people are bird food anyway?

I wanted a friendly response... So I usually gave a happy tap tap tap tap tap... tap tap.

In all my years in, I only had one guy threaten me with a gun... And I never even made it to his porch!

I Have A Question About A Dog

my girlfriends dog, a scottish terrier, is a wonderful lovable dog about fiveyears old.

my girlfriend owns a hair salon and takes her dog with her and the dog greets clients very lovingly.

A cat, we had never seen before, showed up on our back porch with a festering paw. Mom and I brought him inside, poured peroxide on his infected mess, it bubbled up, he was calm and appreciative. So, in a short time, this big lug of a cat, with 6 toes on each paw, became our new beloved pet. Except, he was afraid of men. Monster was what we named him and he answered to and he slept on my bed and like a normal cat, loved his cuddles... But only women. When my dad or brother came inside, Monster would run and hide, usually under furniture and would not come out until the coast was clear.

it's my birthday, today i'm 64 and look every inch of it, but i appreciate my life and feel fortunate to be cult-free.

also very fortunate to have a purposeful and entertaining existence here in gorgeous north georgia (in the usa).

According to WT Jehovah had his perfect first born in heaven with him when he created everything... So, now this perfect virgin King Priest Christ.... He needs 144,000 lowly??? imperfect ones from the earth to help him pick out and choose who has been naughty and who has been nice??? Who to pick to stay (live) and who has to leave (die)?

A little off topic. Have you ever had discussions about why certain ones were "picked" to rule with Jesus in heaven??? One of the areas I lived in was an older sister who became a Dub soon after she was married to an unbeliever. Shortly after that (in the 1950's) she professed to be of the anointed class. The reasoning going 'round was that Jesus needed help in searching hearts and so this sister was picked because she knew how hard it was to be a faithful Dub and reg pioneer for decades, along with all the struggles she had with an unbelieving mate.... And I believed it all (at the time). Makes, for total nonsense to me now.

Ex wife getting a heart operation

my kids mother is getting a new heart valve.

there upset because she is making sure no blood is to be used and her jw cronies will be with her making it hard for my kids even to visit her in the hospital.

can jws get a pigs heart valve now and is her request by having no blood make this procedure difficult for the surgin for a successful operation?.

GreenHornet what I find ridiculously odd about this situation is that your JDub wife is praying for "God's" help in this serious situation. She is most likely praying for god to help this worldly surgeon so nothing goes wrong. Before the surgery, after the surgery, in her mind, all the doctors, all the hospital personnel will be bird food at WT's Big "A"... but just let god's holy spirit work on the hospital staff... so everything goes well for her.

Your exwife most likely is in well educated and experienced people's hands. I think one factor for JDubs going in for an operation is that they calmly (I hate to say, calmly but I do) relax because they truly feel if something bad happens, they will wake up in that promised panda petting paradise.

Every operation has satistics. Doctors want a successful operating outcome just as much as the patient does.

Reassure your children that their mom is not the first one at this rodeo and most likely, will be 99% fine.

When my ex had major heart bypass surgery, he was up and about in no time. A fellow elder, a nice man, at a different hospital, same operation, bled out in the recovery room and died.

Will you be there to support your children through this? Life with divided families can be difficult. I know.

it's been awhile since i've been talkative.

thought i'd give you an account of my latest family dysfunction.. a brief backstory is that i am an only child whose parents were born in jw's.

3rdgen I read this and I am speechless. From your posting, and your offer to talk on the phone, which we did, I know you are an outstanding person! I cry for you for the pure insanity of it all. How these mothers act one way with the child they decide to pick on, and how they act in public to others, really can mess with one's head.

Let your husband love you and hold you and know that all of us, your 'other family' here on JWN think the world of you. You are a beloved member that has shared so much tragedy with us. Please, let this new year of 2017 be a very peaceful and happy one for you.
